A late 17th century oak Wainscot chair, with open shaped arms, later solid seat, single (split) panel back carved with a large diamond surrounded by carved four stars with pierced centres, and a single further star to centre, the shaped top rail with pierced holes and carved ‘R M 1689’, raised on plain square section legs joined by peripheral stretchers, 52 by 59 by 101 cm high.
