Robert A Palmer RBA ROI (British, 1927-2005): 'The Guardian', a large oil on canvas depicting part of The Carmage within the Rhone delta, the Guardian figure on horseback to one side looking out towards the herd of wild horses he watches over, signed and wax seal lower right, with smaller print with presentation inscription by the artist to the back, 75.5 by 56cm, in gilt frame 111 by 91.5cm.
