Turner RA (British, 1755-1851): 'The Castle above the Meadows', an etching from his series of original prints from the Liber Studiorum (Book of Studies), sepia, first state, annotated 'Drawn and Etch'd by J. M. W. Turner Esq. R.A.P.P.lower left, engraved by Chas Turner, published Feb. 20th. 1808, at Warren Street, with EP in the top margin, and with pencil annotation Oakhampton in the lower margin, title verso, 19 by 26cm. Note: the print paper has been attached to the backing board.
