Major Lionel Grimston Fawkes (British, 1849-1931): 'Studies from Life at one of E.O.H's addresses', a set of seven pen and ink portrait drawings, some annotated, to include 'Old Honest' and 'Mr. Worldly Wiseman', average size 10 by 9cm, and one of a woman's head transforming into the body of a pig, with pencil attribution verso, relating to Fawkes' friend Major General Edward Owen Hay. Provenance: The Estate of Mr Joseph B. Hay, son of Major-General Arthur K. Hay DSO OBE - 100 years of a military family.
