An unusual 1930s Japanese ceramic cruet set, in the form of three kangaroos, the two to either side are salt and pepper pots, the central kangaroo a mustard pot, the terminal of the mustard spoon peeking out of a pouch and modelled as the head of a joey, handle formed from kangaroo's tail, on black base, unmarked, 12 by 11cm. Notes: One identical example can be found in the National Museum of Australia, accession no. 1999.0017.0152.001, and a second similar example is held by Western Australia Museum, accession no. H2007.124.1-5.
