A Meissen porcelain figural group, modelled as 'Abduction of Europa', late 19th century, model number 2697, originally modelled by J. J. Kaendler and re-worked by E. A. Leuteritz, depicting Europa lured into sitting on Jupiter disguised as a beautiful white bull with a flower garland around his neck, two maidens on the ground beside them, a/f cracked through base and fully restored, underglaze blue crossed swords mark, incised '2697', impressed '118', 20 by 11.5 21.5cm high.
