An 18th century portrait miniature of a seated gentleman in a red velvet suit beside his desk, wearing a white wig, reputedly of Justin Vulliamy (circa 1710-1790) English clockmaker to the king, oil on board, in a gilt composition frame, moulded with lyre and anthemion motifs, 14 by 10cm, framed size 25 by 21cm. Provenance: by direct descent from the sitter.
