A mid 19th century silver mounted ebony conductor's presentation baton, engraved to a spiralling wrapped banner 'To My Honourably General Music-Chief Mr Jacoby', and to the handle 'From The Russian Iwanoff', with foliate engraved decoration and a lyre form finial, the mounts hallmarked for maker 'J.S', a/f handle detached, 2 by 50cm long, in a fitted oak presentation case, labelled for 'J. Rechner', 7.5 by 5 by 55cm, together with an inlaid wooden conductor's baton, 46cm long, and two paper declarations from the Conservatoire Impérial de Musique et de Déclamation for Georges Jacobi being Second Violin in 1859 and then First Violin in 1861.
