William Robinson Brown (American, 1875-1955): a twin funnel steamer ship, in harbour with tug boat and pilot, initialled CMK, for Crabbet, Maynesboro, Kellog, lower left, with legend verso, oil on board, 31 by 45cm, together with a biography of the artist. William Brown was an American businessman in the early 20th century and was most well known as being the founder of the Maynesboro Stud for Arab horses in the USA; to this day his name is associated with the US 'Domestic' breed of Arabian horses.
