A Chinese cloisonne enamel box and cover, Qing Dynasty 18th / 19th century, of flattened cylindrical form, decorated in relief with everyday objects, vases and vessels sitting beneath flowering trees, the top surface with a cast bat which when pushed releases the white metal box through the base, unmarked, 5.3 by 1.9 by 5.5cm high. Provenance: The Estate of Mr Joseph B. Hay, son of Major-General Arthur K. Hay DSO OBE - 100 years of a military family.
