An 18th century Sèvres porcelain saucepan, circa 1780, decorated with nine floral sprigs separated by gilt leaves, and gilt borders to both rims, turned wooden handle to a moulded socket, overglaze blue painted mark on bottom of bowl, factory mark or cipher of intertwined Ls with letter 'A' inside, 8.0 by 16.5 by 3.7cm, together with a similar saucepan of similar design but different decoration, a/f cracked and repaired, handle shortened.
Notes: similar saucepan with plain decoration in the collection of George Washington at Mount Vernon, USA.
