A collection of 17th century and later printed works, including Sebastien Leclec (French 1637-1714, engraver to Louis XIV c. 1688), hand coloured engraving 'Alexander Entering Babylon', 26.5 by 38.5cm mounted glazed and framed, 47 by 60.3cm together with a bound edition of the 'Gentleman's Magazine', pub. 1773, with issues from January to June, including a reference to Phillis Wheatley, a Black slave girl poet, p.226, with an 1866 volume, an 1885 'Gentleman's Magazine Library', and an 1800 edition of 'The Weekly Entertainer', together with a collection of Flaxman prints include some scenes from Homer's the Iliad and the Odyssey.
