John Harrold (Scottish, b. 1947): Rupert the Bear, an early original hand coloured artwork from 1979 Annual, 'Rupert and the Ice Skates, page 78, the title page, 'Rupert comes to Lisa’s Aid', watercolour on board with ink drawing acetate overlay, and pasted up lettering below, to complete the page layout, 20 by 12cm.
Notes: John Harrold (Glasgow School of Art) became the official Rupert The Bear artist, for the Daily Express, from 1985 until 2007.
