A silver gilt lady's open face pocket watch, made for the Chinese market, circa 1900, key wind, white enamel dial with black Roman numerals and outer 15, 30, 45, 60 Arabic markers, blued steel spade hands, centre seconds, floral engraved movement and hinged cuvette signed with two Chinese characters, the case set with seed pearls around the dial and into the bow, the back decorated with an enamelled scene depicting two ladies leaning over a well speaking in confidence, with a foliage and brown guilloche border, case number 5067, case 39mm, 52.5g gross, with key.
Notes: in working condition, winds and sets well, keeps time across 1hr test, however Batemans cannot guarantee continued operation.
