A late 17th century oak Wainscot chair, with open shaped arms, later solid seat, three panel back, the upper panel carved with a decorative frieze, shaped top rail with moulded outline flanked by square section stiles with pyramid finials, raised on bobbin turned front legs and block feet joined by peripheral stretchers, 57.5 by 58.5 by 94 cm high.
