A late 19th / early 20th century tin plate paraffin Morse signal lamp, with a wide angle, narrow vertical, glass marine lens, 'Mitchell's Patent, No 24014, 30 10 07', painted black, with turned wooden carry handle and handle to base with lever operating a shutter mechanism to allow light out to send the signal, with paraffin burner inside, 36.5cm high.
