A particularly fine High Victorian silver tea set, in the late Renaissance/Mannerist style of Cellini, ornately decorated with embossed friezes of stags, masks, goats, caryatids and other classical adornments, with caryatid handles and masks to the spouts, armorial engraved with starfish, comprising hot water pot, 27 by 13.5 by 27cm high, teapot, 26.5 by 14 by 21cm high, milk jug, 15 by 8.7 by 14.5cm high, and double handled sugar bowl, 20 by 11.8 by 15.5cm high, James Dixon & Sons Ltd, Sheffield 1881, 79.16toz combined weight.
