Jean Shepeard (British, 1904-1989): a collection of pencil sketches of Ronald Ossory Dunlop (Irish, 1894–1973), a charcoal portrait, signed with a monogram 'JS', 26.5 by 18cm, mounted, 40 by 30cm, together with fifteen other mounted and unmounted portrait sketches, all signed, two small photographs of Dunlop (one partially torn, a/f), a copy of his autobiography 'Struggling with Paint' (London, 1956) with handwritten dedication to Jean Shepeard 'To Jean darling R O Dunlop', the book references Shepeard and the Emotionist movement which Dunlop, Shepeard and others founded, Shepeard and Dunlop were also lovers, together with a 1931 Redfern Gallery exhibition programme for Dunlop's work.
