A Chelsea-Derby figure, circa 1770, modelled as a Gardener, wearing a black hat, white shirt, belt and blue and pink waistcoat, purple flowered and yellow breeches, holding a plant pot resting on a pedestal in his right hand, a spade between his feet, on a naturalist base encrusted with flowers and leaves, incised 'N', '3', 'G', and other factory marks, 23cm high.
Provenance: Private Deceased Estate, purchased Collins & Clark, 81 Regent Street, London, 17-8-1976 for £40.
