A pair of Chinese hardwood low back open armchairs, Qing Dynasty, late 19th century, painted dark brown with gold highlights, with shaped rails and squared backs, single wide splat with cloud scroll carved edges and decorative seal, shaped arms with cloud scroll detail to supports, rectangular panel seat, pierced and carved front edge, raised on straight square section legs joined by peripheral stretchers to sides and with studded finish front stretcher, each 58 by 48.5 by 81cm high. (2) Provenance: The Private Lincolnshire Estate of a Danish Family.
