An oak Wainscot type armchair, 19th century with some 17th century parts, the solid back carved with a flower and scrolling leaves issuing from an urn, fan corners below, and two decorative friezes above, one with lunettes, the other with diamond shaped foliate clasped panels, surmounted by a shaped crest carved with two aquatic beasts and a shell, gently shaped arms over closed sides and a solid seat, raised on square section rear legs and bobbin turned front legs joined by a turned stretcher and floor level H stretcher, 65 by 62 by 129cm high.
