Hammer
£1,650
An Edwardian mahogany easy armchair, probably Howard & Sons, Grafton model, with shaped back and serpentine arms, loose feather cushion, raised on tapering square section front legs, curved square section back legs, all on brass castors, unmarked / not visibly stamped, upholstered in golden foliate silk damask, with a loose cotton cover decorated with trees and flowers against a red ground, seat 70cm deep, 63cm wide at front and 53cm wide at back, overall 92 by 81 by 82cm high.
More Information
In generally good solid condition, the arms have a bit of play outwards but seat and back feel firm. Plenty of padding in the back rest. Legs and castors are also firm. Upholstery is passable but could do with updating, signs of restoration / castors repaired or replaced, and reupholstery to base.
