An 18K yellow gold Omega Constellation Manhattan Chronometer gentleman's wristwatch, model 198.0140, circa 2000, the circular gold matte dial with dot hour markers and minute track, date aperture at 3 o'clock, gold and black hands and centre seconds, black Roman numerals to the fixed gold bezel, the case with aftermarket set brilliant cut diamonds and rubies, the four principle diamonds each 3.0mm, 0.11ct, and two start shaped pendants attached to the sides, each set with a brilliant cut diamond, 3.0mm, 0.11ct, quartz movement, cal. 1431, serial 46583768, snap-on caseback, stamped Omega Watch Company, 18K, 750, on a Omega 18ct gold bracelet strap with sliding deployment clasp, model 398.0866, with a spare link, 16mm wide, 3.4g, dial 24mm, case 33mm, 94.5g gross.
Notes: in good working condition, winds and sets well, dates changes correctly, keeps time across 1hr test, no box or papers.
Provenance: originally purchased and made for James Smith, erstwhile Football Director at Peterborough United Football Club (The Posh) from the late 1970s to mid 1990s, who one attending one of many charity event met the footballer Dwight Yorke who was wearing a version of this model and make of watch. Mr Smith was so impressed he had an identical copy made, with Dwight's permission, with the aftermarket diamonds, rubies, and attached star charms. Now inherited and being sold by Batemans on behalf by the family.
