An early Victorian 18ct yellow gold mourning ring, set centrally with a round brilliant cut diamond, approximately 0.4ct, 4.6mm, within a black enamelled cross with inset gold foliate scrolls to each arm, the shield shaped shoulders enamelled with white petalled flowers, and further chased scrolls, engraved inside, JL possibly for John Linnit, London 1839, face 11mm high, band 2.5mm, size K, 4.4g.
