A Sino-Tibetan gilt bronze Buddha Amitayus, likely 18th century, modelled in seated in dhyanasana, or full lotus position, with downcast eyes and a gently smiling mouth, with both hands held in dhyana mudra, wearing a five pointed crown and various jewellery, with later 'jewels' applied, on a double lotus base, missing base plate, inscribed Chinese character 'da' (meaning big or great) to inside base, 1.15kg, 12.2 by 9.0 by 16.8cm (6.6") high.
Provenance: private deceased estate, part of the family's collection for over 70 years, with German ancestry prior to the early 20th century.
