Clifton Tomson (British, 1775-1828): An equine portrait of a racing horse 'Psyche', oil on canvas, oil on canvas, signed and inscribed Nottingham 1825, labels verso, 61.5 by 74cm, framed, 82 by 95cm.
Provenance: from a deceased estate of the Napier family, with ancestral links to famous military and naval figures such as Sir George T. Napier KCB, Sir Charles James Napier, and Vice-Admiral Trevylyan Dacres Willes Napier.
